SACRAMENTO, CA. – As announced, the last event of the season for the 2021 Future Pro Tour - presented by Gone Fishin Marine, has been relocated from Clearlake to the Sacramento River.
But since it's inception - and throughout it's 20-year history, FPT anglers have become accustom to both changes and challenges that help them develop their bass fishing skills - and the Sacramento River venue will provide them with the opportunity to do just that.
To this end, FPT Competition Committe members conveined to place strategic "limits" on the venue that will help keep participants stay on point with their learning experience while they learn how to fish a true "river" system.
"If your goal is to become a well-rounded angler, IT IS IMPERATIVE that you embrace challenges, and learn how to "figure out" different bodies of water", noted long-time FPT Competition Committe member Alan Fong, who is also a General Manager at the Fisherman's Warehouse store in Rancho Cordova.
The Sacramento river is LOADED with quality smallmouth, spotted, and largemouth bass....but you just have to DO THE WORK and find them" he added.
Al Fong of the Fisherman's Warehouse, knows how to catch smallmouth bass as he shows off this HUGE one caught at Lake Pardee
In an effort to keep this event a true "river" event, and define for competitors CLEAR boundries that will keep them within the actual Sacramento river system, the follwing map has been provided to define off-limits boundries.
The FPT is coming to downtown Sacramento...and will soon be "Rollin on the River"!
We look forward to seeing you there!
